care team
Our team of trained volunteers would be happy to connect with you, to talk, to pray, to help where we can.
We would love to talk with you this Sunday, or we can connect between Sundays.
Let's be honest... we can't meet every need that comes our way. But we are committed to making an effort.
Pastoral care is really just a fancy term for the kind of care we expect to get from our church experience, from our church family. We call it pastoral care because the word “pastor” in the New Testament literally means “shepherd”, and the verb means to care for the flock.
So is it still pastoral care if the pastor isn't providing the care?? Yes. Here's the deal: our congregation is bigger than our Sunday morning attendance. And the demands of care are bigger than the reach of our pastors. so we've dropped the term "pastoral care" in favor of "congregational care". Besides, we want to mobilize people with gifts and passion that make their caregiving extremely effective.
Our care team is currently focused on helping to meet needs in these areas:
Medical recovery
Grief recovery
Crisis support (marriage, parenting, career, finances)
Simple house repairs and maintenance
